3D Beam Shaping
Midel uniqueIn production, what counts is process stability, part after part. A conventional beam keeps its shape only right at focus, over a very short range, which is why we engineer it along the propagation axis instead. The result: an extended depth of focus that turns a focus-critical step into a forgiving one.
3D Gaussian
Real parts are never perfectly flat, and lasers drift under thermal load. This shape turns the Gaussian’s knife-edge waist into a long working band, so the part can sit where it actually sits, with no focus tracking required.
- Up to 5× the depth of focus
- Keeps a near-diffraction-limited spot
- Holds up in multi-kW setups where transmissive optics drift
3D Top-Hat
The first flat-top engineered for depth rather than for the focal plane. Every conventional shaper builds a clean plateau in one thin slice and lets it decay into a peak on either side. This one holds it, so the flat-top is still flat where your part is.
- ~5× the stable range of a conventional shaper
- As small as physics allows — only 1.5–1.8× the Gaussian spot size
- Superior performance proven across a range of applications
3D Ring-Core
Wraps a laser spot in a ring and holds that geometry across virtually the full depth of focus, whereas a dual-mode laser’s ring collapses within a fraction of the Rayleigh length. A calm keyhole, less spatter, clean at higher feed rates.
- Ring + core stable through the focus
- Independently verified by Primes on single- and multi-mode systems
- Ring-core behaviour without a ring-core laser
3D Custom
When none of the profiles above is the right answer, we design the distribution around your process instead. We always appreciate a challenge to the limits of physics.
- Intensity profile designed to your process
- Depth stability engineered in from the start
- Same passive, all-reflective single-mirror build
